Then add the scallions. When the congee is almost cooked, add the vinegar and cook briefly. Eat while hot. After eating, cover yourself with a blanket and rest quietly, avoiding wind and cold, until you sweat slightly. This congee is specifically designed for wind-cold colds. It is not suitable for wind-heat colds, high fever, or irritability.

4. Sweating-Inducing Fermented Soybean Congee: 15g fermented soybeans, 5g schizonepeta, 2g ephedra, 30g kudzu root, 3g gardenia, 60g gypsum, 3 slices of ginger, 2 scallions, 100g rice. Decoct the above herbs in water, add rice and cook into a thin congee. Consume 1-2 doses daily. This congee can induce sweating and clear heat, suitable for persistent high fever, lung heat with wheezing, headache without sweating, irritability, insomnia, dry throat, and thirst caused by colds. This congee is a large compound medicinal congee for treating colds and fever, with many ingredients and complex combinations, resulting in good efficacy. The main symptoms for using this sweating-inducing fermented soybean congee are high fever, lack of sweating, and headache. Those who sweat and feel cold should not consume it; if sweating and fever subside after consumption, discontinue use immediately.
