Everyone knows that we live in a society where appearance matters; looks are everything. Having blemishes and spots on your face is incredibly frustrating, especially for someone who cares about their appearance-it's practically the cruelest of the ten tortures. So what can be done? With the development of technology, ion medicine, besides its health benefits, can also remove blemishes, beautify the skin, and prevent aging.

Acidity, oxidation, and reactive oxygen species have a very harmful effect on the body. The culprits who help them wreak havoc in the body are hydrogen ions, or positive ions. A slightly acidic body indicates an excess of these hydrogen ions, while a slightly alkaline body indicates a decrease. These factors are caused by environmental pollution such as air, water, and soil pollution, coupled with the rapid development of electronic devices that produce byproducts like electromagnetic waves and static electricity, and ultraviolet radiation that further increases reactive oxygen species. This leads to acidity and oxidation in the body, causing disease.

The medical and health benefits of negative ions primarily stem from their outstanding antioxidant (reducing) and anti-aging properties. This antioxidant (reducing) property is based on a fundamental chemical principle: chemical reactions involve the exchange of electrons in the electron shell. Losing electrons is called oxidation, and gaining electrons is called reduction. Molecules (clusters) or atoms that lose electrons exhibit a positive charge and are called positive ions, while those that gain excess electrons exhibit a negative charge and are called negative ions. Therefore, small-particle negative ions carry a negative potential, meaning they have excess electrons that can replenish electrons in aging cells or blood cells. This achieves antioxidant and anti-aging effects, reducing free radicals. Negative ions are essentially negative oxygen ions that have gained excess electrons. In living organisms, the loss of electrons from lipids leads to oxidation and age spots; the loss of electrons from proteins disrupts cell function; and the loss of electrons from genes can cause cancer. In living organisms, these electron-stealing substances are called "free radicals," and from a quantum medicine perspective, electron loss is the root of all diseases. Similarly, rusting iron, weathering stone, and decaying plants are all results of oxidation. Negative oxygen ions carry a negative potential, meaning they have extra electrons. When these electrons are donated to free radicals, the free radicals are reduced and eliminated, and the ions themselves are transformed into oxygen molecules (O2).

In addition to its clinical applications, negative ions have shown some efficacy in preventing and treating acute and chronic bronchitis, asthma, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease, and neurasthenia. Currently, my country has home-use medical devices that utilize negative ions, and the application of negative ions in clinical practice and health maintenance is beginning.
